Shop name and url. Does your shop name have a meaning?

Our name is Pink Parchment Soaps. We are a mother/daughter/daughter team. When we were trying to come up with a name, the girls came up with name after name. When we were going through the list and trying to figure out which name we should use, we decided to start looking at the initials. PP Soap was just tooo funny! Hence Pink Parchement Soaps.

How long have you been making soap?

We have been making soap for several years now, but just started selling it a year ago.


What attracted you to making your own?

Several years ago, we were on vacation in North Carolina and stopped in a small soap shop. They made the most beautiful soap we had ever seen. We also thought, "Oh, these will make wonderful gifts for our mothers," both of whom are incredibly difficult to buy for! With both Mother's day and birthdays right around the corner, we stocked up.

Once we returned to Michigan, we took a soap making class and, voila, we were hooked on making soap. After a few years of experimenting and using family, friends and neighbors as guinea pigs, Pink Parchment Soaps was born. We love making soap as well as experimenting with new formulas and ingredients. We take pride in making soap that we love and feel that others will truly enjoy using. We only use ingredients that we feel are not only safe but good for our skin.


Favorite ingredients?

Olive oil, Avocado oil, cocoa butter


Favorite scents?

Currently, it's Basmati rice and Pumpkin Spice.



If you had to pic a favorite soap from your store, what would it be and why?

Absolutely Pink Grapefruit. It's invigorating and fresh - really gets you going in the morning!
